Dining Room Christmas Decor

December 22, 2011 By Matt 2 Comments

I got this idea from a Home Depot commercial.  In the commercial, they hung ornaments from their dining room chandelier in the shape of a christmas tree.   I knew this had to be part of our Christmas Decor in our dining room.  I modified their idea and varied the heights and I used 5 different style ornaments.  I used spare jewelry cord to hang the ornaments (Fishing line would work just as well) and this was what we ended up with!

I came across your site because I’m searching for creative ways to decorate with spare ornaments. I love how you strung them and hung them from the ceiling! It’s very unique, and creates depth. This may be a silly question, but did you just tape the string to the ceiling? We have large archways in our home, and I think this would be perfect!

    Thank you!

Hey Pamela! We actually hung them from a chandelier in our dining room using fishing line. If were were going to use them anywhere else, I think we’d use some of the 3M Command products, so that they’d be easy to take down!
