I remember one of my favorite sayings as a child was
“April Showers Bring May Flowers“.
This year mother nature wasn’t really following that rule as she gave us 90 plus degree temperatures most of the month of April.
I held off on planting my garden and putting my spring flowers into planters.
I will be the first to admit that I love planting flowers in the spring but am sooo lazy when it comes to removing the dead plants in the fall.
Chances are from December – April you are going to see something that looks like this.
Shameful isn’t it?

No need to fret though because in just just under an hour they went from the sad mess you see above to this …
Don’t you just love spring flowers?
(Fenway appears to be happy, I think he was rabbit hunting.)
I tried some new types of spring flowers this year including Snap Dragons … hope they stay pretty!
