This spring, Jacque and I spent a lot more time outside than in years past. We’ve focused on keeping our lawn looking good and most recently started our own container gardens! Thanks to our friends as Lowe’s for supplying us with the necessary products we needed to tackle DIY Container Gardening!
As we already have a raised bed garden where we grow a decent amount of vegetables, we thought it would be fun to mix planting edibles like tomatoes and mint with more decorative blossoming plants like marigolds, dianthus, and calibrachoa. In planning for the types of plants to add to the containers, we tried to pick a colorful array of plants that would provide layers of growth.
