Dealing with the Woes of Pregnancy

July 20, 2015 By Jacque 1 Comment

“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and healthy mama® , but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #gethealthymama  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV”

spilled beansLong before Little Bit spilled the beans (literally) of the pending arrival of our second child I was combating a pretty bad case of 1st trimester morning sickness.  The truth is they should call it all day sickness because the only time I didn’t feel sick to my stomach was when I was sleeping.

IMG_4895In the beginning I lived off of peppermints.  Like a LOT of peppermints, then I noticed a product in the prenatal section of Target called healthy mama® “Calm the Crazy”.  Calm the Crazy is a herbal tea that contains spearmint and peppermint as well as chamomile and raspberry leafs that all hep to calm the beast of morning sickness.  (FYI head over to One Project Closer for some awesome Target Coupons!)IMG_4898Every few hours (4 times a day) I would sip this great tea and give myself some relief.  You know long enough to chase around a super active toddler.  Little Bit goes from 0-10 in no time flat these days!

IMG_4893Moving forward I am now well into my 2nd trimester.  The urge to constantly sleep or throw-up has thankfully passed like a ship in the night!  NOW I am faced with the task of keeping up my energy to keep Little Bit from destroying the house and or killing herself.  Because let’s be honest, at this age our real job is to just keep them alive.  Toddlers are mini dare-devils with little to no fear!  I keep a few of the healthy mama® “Boost It Up” in the pantry at all times!   Boost it up is first and foremost caffeine free and contains B-vitimins, electrolytes, and ginger (the ginger helps with nausea as well).  The electrolytes are great for helping with leg cramps and what not, and since I do not like the texture of bananas this is super helpful to me.

healthy mama® also has other products like Tame the Flame, Move Along, Shake the Ache, and even for after the baby Make the Milk, while supplies last!  I can’t wait to try the Make the Milk!

I’m going to have to hit up Target and try some of this!! I’ve been getting leg cramps almost every night despite eating bananas so maybe this would help.
